The desktop app finds faces on your own computer and uploads the results. Install it once, on the machine where your photos live.

Before you install

  • macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon or Intel), or Windows 10/11, 64-bit.
  • About 1 GB of disk space — the face-recognition model ships with the app so it works offline.
  • The first launch takes a few seconds while the model loads.

You may see a security warning

Our builds are not yet signed by Apple or Microsoft, so:

  • macOS: right-click the app → Open → Open again. Double-clicking will refuse the first time.
  • Windows: SmartScreen shows a blue box — click More info → Run anyway.

We are working on signing certificates. Until then this warning is expected, not a sign of a problem.
